|Action Publishing, LLC was launched in 1996, bringing a new and dynamic voice to the publishing industry. Since its inception, Action Publishing has worked to create products that motivate and involve readers. Politicards was one of the first of Action's products to hit the market.
Politicards '96 was an immediate success, enjoying media and industry praise, and eventually named the "best political collectible of the year" by Good Morning America. Politicards 2000 is the latest edition of this bestselling product. Politicards 2000 features a fresh cast of political characters and humorous situations, as well as concise information on how to register to vote and advice on "How to Make an Honest Politician."
In addition to motivating voters, Action Publishing ventured into educational and value-oriented children's books, signing Southern California children's author and illustrator Scott Sutton. The first release, The Kuekumber Kids Meet the Monster of Manners is a part of the Kuekumber Kids series, for preschool through first grade. Both the Kuekumber Kids and The Family of Ree series, an illustrated middle grade series teaching values, are in development as animated television series.
Rounding out Action's current releases is One Percent by Michael H. Upright. One Percent is an intimate black and white documentary of the Outlaw bikers in Florida and the Midwest. This is the first title in the aptly named "Optic Nerve" series, designed to showcase the work of new artists and photographers.
Based in Los Angeles, Action Publishing is developing numerous other fiction and non-fiction projects, all aimed at expanding the reader's understanding of the world and putting that know-how into action.|
